1st June 2011: birth of SELEX ELSAG, a new industrial set-up, incorporation between SELEX Communications and Elsag Datamat.
This dealing – which is included in the reorganization of electronics sector for defense, started by Finmeccanica in 2010 – aims at creating an excellence center within Information and Communication Technology, safety, cyber security and automation circles, both in domestic (Italy and UK) and international markets.
The new-born company combines competences and knowledge belonging to two of the most advanced Italian firms from a technological point of view:
SELEX Communications and Elsag Datamat.
This year Finmeccanica Group, which owns Elsag Datamat, has received the prestigious title of “top employers Italy 2011”, in recognition of its excellence in human resources training, development and management.
Elsag Datamat is attending Forum PA 2011 this year, the annual exhibition and conference addressed to the Public Administration, making use once again of the successful “master class” formula introduced last year to showcase its skills in innovative areas of interest to the public administration and citizens.
